| Business : Starting Up In Business By sensible, this means doing so in such a way that if it does not work out, you have not lost everything! The best way to start out with a new venture is to try and carry along another job at the same time; one that brings in reliable income. This is why many people work their main 9 - 5 job and then run a small business on the side, quite often through some internet business or internet trading. Note that this is quite acceptable and a good idea as it reduces the risk if the business does not succeed, and you get to monitor the one whilst running the other. At the point where you see that the other business is viable and has potential you can consider leaving full time employment; but if it doesn't work out then you haven't lost your job and income along the way.
