How To Stop Drinks Cans Fizzing Up

To avoid canned drinks fizzing up and overflowing when opening (esp. beer!).

Tap firmly three times on the top of the can - this way the CO2 bubbles are disolved into the liquid again and are less likely to surge up and spill all over you when the can is opened.

This is particularly useful when you know that a can has been shaken (perhaps in transit) and you need a drink fast!
