How To Stop Frozen Bread Getting Wet

Food And Drink : Main Courses

When you unfreeze, or should that be defreeze bread, from the freezer then we all know that sometimes it can get soggy.

The reason for this is that the moisture comes out of the bread as it thaws, and this can in turn make the bread a bit wet.

To stop this happening all that you need to do is to place a paper towel in with the bread and this will absorb the water as it thaws and stop it going wet.

As an alternative if you defrost it somewhere quite warm then naturally the moisture should evaporate before it can make the bread soggy, and if the worst comes to the worst just toast the bread for 10 - 20 seconds to get the moisture off before using it.
