Successful Networking: Networking Events
Career : Business Networking At networking events you will see broadly two types of people. Those who shy away from meeting new people and will either cling to those that they know already, or perhaps one new contact they have made and think they have something in common with. The second type is he or she who actively moves around the room and talks to several people in different groups. If there is an hours networking time for instance, try not to spend more than ten minutes or so with each person you meet so as to make the most of the networking time for both of you - unless there is some very strong connection between you. Then be sure to get numbers and follow up straight away with any potentially interesting characters - striking when the iron is hot applies to business as much as it does to any other situation.
