How To Take Great Pictures On Assignment

Hobbies : Photography

If you are working on assignment, then you will have a little less freedom than normally. For one thing, you are working to a particular subject, but you might be working to a brief, too.

First of all, you need to do research into the publication that you are taking pictures for. What is the usual style of photos - do they stick rigidly to the subject or are they more creative? What is the audience like?

Look at past issues to get a good idea if shots are very straightforward or offer something different.

Next, you should write down the theme that you are writing about, and then you should brainstorm all the key words that come to mind. Let's say ten to twenty words come to mind.

Once you have written them down, try and connect them to an individual shot or subject matter. Then, go out and take those photos and enjoy the results of your work!
