If you are going on a diet or a weight loss program, then it is essential that you have someone who can help you to lose weight by motivating and offering help to you.

But who to choose?

Well actually someone else who is also on a diet is not the person as they may pass on how well they are doing or not doing and use this to influence your weight loss.

You really want someone else who is not taking part in the diet.

What you ideally want to have is someone who is a good friend not a nag and also not someone who will tell you that you are doing well when you are not.

Therefore your partner is also not the best person as you don't want to cause tension there through potential arguments!
