| Travel : Destinations If you visit Rome it will be more a case of planning the things to do rather than trying to find things to do, there is so much packed in to this historic and famous European capital city. Here are some ideas of things to do in Rome: Be sure to visit places such as the Roman Forum and the Colliseum. Another historic venus is the Circus Maximus. There are many restaurants close to the Spanish Steps so check one of those out before heading here for a drink. A must to visit is the breathtaking Vatican City. You can easily spend a whole day going round here and as a minimum should spend half a day going around the Vatican - it is an incredible experience. Make sure you also take a look at the Trevi Fountain, the Campo Di Fiori and the Piazza Navona. Overall there is so much to do and see in Rome that you will be spoilt for choice - the ideal location for a long weekend.
