Typically you may ask someone to give their email address in order to provide them with some content, for instance such as a free ebook. Therefore if you have some useful content then consider getting the persons email address to distribute it, but rather than have the manual work of sending out the ebook or content to everyone who replies, simply get them to email in and have the autoresponder handle the work. You now also have the email address of a lead.
