| Career : Career Development When you get your bonus after a year of hard work, it can be tempting to splurge it all and treat yourself - and in a way, you have deserved that! However, it does prove to be prudent with these things. First, if you have any debt, do make sure that you pay this off first. It may seem hard to see that hard earned money go on something 'boring', but you will be saving yourself a large amount of money in the longer term as all the interest will be wiped off on the debts if you cancel them in one fell swoop. The good news is that, once that is done, you are free to do what you want with the money! You may decide to be sensible and save or invest a proportion. Something like 20% would be a reasonable amount. With the rest, decide what it is that you would like to do most. That's the fun bit. Enjoy spending what's left - after all you have certainly worked hard for it!
