What Not To Ask On A Date
| Relationships : Relationship Advice When you go on a date there are some things that you should ask, and by the same margin other things that you really should avoid asking. One of the obvious topics to avoid talking about on a first date is of course ex partners. Don't ask how many they have had, when they split up and so on. These sort of things may come up in the fullness of time, but don't discuss it on a first date if you want to keep them as your boy or girlfriend for much longer! Also remember that you should not discuss things like sex on a first date either which would lower the tone and may make them wonder what you really are looking for. It is also often recommended not to talk about subjects that may lead to conflict and have very strong opinions on - for instance maybe religion, politics or ethical matters such as animal rights - these can raise too much emotion on a first date when you don't know each other too well and kill off the relationship before it has started. Therefore keep things simple - get to know each other and find out general things about each other, without going into too much deep and meaningful conversation!
