| Computing : Web Sites If you have web pages with dynamic content, then you might experience long URLs with lots of ampersands and question marks in the URL If you want to overcome this then you should consider looking into using mod_rewrite to help you have clean URLs. This will work on Apache servers and you just add a rewrite rule, as it is known, to your htaccess file, that will map one URL to another. Therefore write a rule to treat each URL as a unique short URL then re-write via the rule to your actual longer, messier URL!
