Model Dreams

ladies, some of you have to start using ur brains and not just your dreams. what some of you said is true. first of all there're different types of modelling so you need to focus. but most of u guys seem t be spending most of your time on thinking if you have the right figure or not. i see some of your measurements and they all seem like u guys go on diets or even starve yourself...thats not right. ok its easy for me to talk i weigh 45 kilos at a age of 16 without going on diets, and eating as much chocolate as i want (i got that from my mom). but i've never gone on a diet, ive never smoked or taken drugs and i hvent even ever gotten drunk. 'yea right' is probs wat u guys are thinking right now..but thats the way it is...i've been accused of being anorexic by many people, and that even though i eat as much as a guy. but u have to stand up for the way you r...and i'm sure that all of u guys r probs drop dead georgous...but from what i read most of u seem to be lacking confidence bout their own figure. i'm a model, i model for only, vero moda, mexx and i've even modelled for chanel and d&g, and i can tell you that what ever u guys think modelling is like...its not like that. i still go to school because i wont give up my education for something that will only last a couple of years, and still...modelling often tears up my last nerve, takes up all my summer vacation e.t.c.

u guys might think its all glamorous, and sure, u get free clothes, u get to look georgous but its more like a never endeing competition. there is always pressure on you from your agency and from yourself.

but i understand that most of you will still want to do it even though of what i'm telling you. so i'll tell you how i got my job. one of our family friends was a really famous model in america and singapore, and another one of our friends is the boss of playboy America. one day 'only' organised a charity fashion show at my school and they chose me to be one of the models. after the show they asked me if i wanted to model for them. and you know why they came to our school? because of the american model Ethel. then later on, the other one organised other brands for me that were interested. so what i can tell u is that a lot is about your contacts. so get them! get your dad's e.t.c. to meet people in his business. maybe you can even model for his company or the one he works for. just take every innitiative that you can...and it will work. and jsut to give you one hint...not all models are skinny, i've met many who are not the perfect sizes, who dont have perfect shapes...its all about your confidence...and another tip...smile...make syou look friendlier...
