Use your tax free allowance

OK, so since there is now no interest on any savings you have in Britain (Gordon Brown's reward to the only people who have actually been prudent and saved their money), then you need to make the most of any that you do have.

The biggest sickener would be paying tax on the measly interest you do still get, wouldn't it, so that it can go to the government to mismanage it even more (if that's possible).

So make absolutely sure that you do put any money that you have to save into an ISA so that there is nothing that needs to go to the taxman.
