How To Borrow Cheaply: Three Key Rules

Money : Borrowing

When you're looking for a personal loan (unsecured), there are three key rules:

1) The key figure to compare is the TAR: Total Amount Repayable, which is accurate.

Don't bother confusing yourself with APRs and so on - the TAR is the key figure - the ultimate amount of money from your pocket that you will be hit for!

2) Look at Best Buy tables in newspapers, and look online - your high street bank will tend to have the highest rates

3) Steer clear of PPI - the extra premium will make you sleep badly wondering how to pay the money back rather than give you piece of mind
