If not then they aren't clear enough and need to be made more tangible. Remember it has been proved that people work better towards goals and targets - why there are performance plans in virtually all big companies these days. Therefore be sure to have some clear set of goals and rules that you need to run your business life by with targets to meet. Also ensure that you are as organised as possible. If you spend half an hour each day trying to find the paperwork in the right folder, get a better system of filing and stick to it. Simple things like asking these questions can make a business much healthier, leaner and run better.
