How To Create Your Own Mailing List
Computing : Web Sites If you have your own website, then one excellent way to open a dialogue with the visitors to your site, is through having a newsletter, where you may send weekly or monthly (or even daily if you have a lot to say) messages to the list. However, the perception that it is hard to set one up, or that you need particularly good coding skills to set one up, can put a lot of people off. However, this is not the case. You can use one of the many free services out there to compose and send messages to a mailing list. Alternatively, you can compose your own simple list by getting people on your site to email you when they want to sign up. Then, create in Outlook or other software, paste in all the addresses, and save them as a GROUP. Then, you can use this group in the bcc, or blind carbon copy field, of any future emails that you send. Send them to yourself, and put the group in the bcc field. And there you go ? your mailing list is set up! Just make sure that you only ever send messages to people that have consented to receive your messages, and give them details of how to unsubscribe from your mailing list when you send an email.
