| Hobbies : Cars And Motoring When it is icy or snowy on the roads, use these tips to prepare yourself, as it can be very dangerous and slippery so driving can be unpredictable. Make sure that you always have a warm blanket in the car, as well as a reflective jacket and a bar of chocolate to keep your sugars up just in case you get stranded in the snow. It is a good idea to pack a torch, some drinks and extra food too! Make sure your phone is charged up as you may need to use it if you break down, or if you can’t get home and need to contact your family. Scrape every window before you drive off, for maximum visibility. If you can, try to avoid driving through the first snow fall as its likely that the roads will not be gritted. Obviously be sure to drive slowly, and carefully. Black ice can form anywhere so you cant always see the dangers. If there is a blizzard, pull over somewhere safe until it clears, as its not worth the risk.
