How To Ease Hayfever

Health And Fitness : Top Health Tips

The good weather is great news for most people - but can cause misery for those who suffer from hayfever. With all the pollens in the air and the way that heat can cause smog and other forms of pollution, the amount of irritants in the air increases greatly.

If you suffer from hayfever, then what can you do in the months between around April and September to help ease the hayfever problems?

Well, firstly you will need to protect your eyes from watering and itching in reaction to pollens. Wearing sunglasses that are tight to the eyes almost like swimming goggles or chemical lab goggles can stop irritants reaching the eyes and therefore protect them well.

Also drink camomile tea which is said to have an anti-allergic effect.

Also be sensible about the time of day that you are out and about if you are able to control it at all. For instance, the pollen count will be highest in the afternoon or early evening, therefore try to go out and about in the morning or later evening of at all possible.

Finally you can consider seeing your doctor and the possibility of anti-histamines.
