That's because most people do not perceive the entire e-newsletter sent to be worth the time of reading it word for word. So you need to make sure it is for them. How? At the start first ensure that you ask them to keep reading to the bottom for your best tip or best advice you have ever given away for free - that will get them interested. Another simple tip for an e-newsletter is to make it a bit more interactive, a bit two way. The method to do this is simple - a quick poll or question. Try to get something that is relevant to your topic and something that the people who reply will be interested in and perhaps have wondered about themselves. The double effect is that as well as getting involved with your newsletter, they will then be interested in reading the results in the next issue!
