How To Factorise A Quadratic

Education : Maths

Factorising a quadratic simply means "put into brackets, please", specifically, two brackets.

To solve such a question, follow these three easy steps:

1) place in the familiar format, ax^2 + bx + c

2) write down the brackets with the x:
(x ) (x )

3) Look for the factor pairs that multiply to give c and add to give b.
