First, you need passion for your business. Second, you need belief in the quality of your products and/or services - that they are great and can really help your potential clients and customers in their line of business. If you have those two things, then you are halfway there. But you then need to combine these with hard work, and dedication and emotion in yourself to be the best and to improve things for your business. Then when you do get things going well enjoy the feeling and savour it so that you want more if barren times come along again. By being determined and focussed in on your goal then you will view barren times as a chance to reassess and think about what you could do differently, rather than panicking when they come along and losing motivation.
