Isokinetic Exercise Explained

Health And Fitness : Toning Your Body

Isokinetic exercise is a form of exercise where, as the name suggests, motion is used and machinery is used to control that motion.

A classic example of an isokinetic device is something most will be familiar with - the stationary exercise bike. Here you determine the rate at which you work the muscle by the speed of contraction depending how fast you cycle or how you set the resistance.
