How To Manage Your Database Driven Site

Business : ECommerce

If you have a small site with a low number of products, and no need for flexibility, than a static site will do fine.

However as you move to requiring more flexibility and a greater number of products, you will probably move to a database driven site where you can add new products through adding a row to your database.

When this situation comes around, you need to ensure that you take responsibility over the site, as the database will contain some of the most important data around your whole database.

What you should do therefore is set in place a process of taking regular back ups of data. Consider doing this on a daily basis for a very important and often changing product set; for less important data a weekly back up should suffice.
