How To Navigate And Understand The London Underground

Travel : Destinations

The London Underground is one of the simpler Undergrounds to navigate your way around.

The key thing to note is that the map is not to scale and therefore distances can be distorted.

Use the different colours of the lines and crossover points to plan your route through the city. The key at each station is to ensure that you get the correct line, and that you go in the right way - north or south, or on some lines, east or west.

A travelcard is the best ticket to get as this will allow you to make as many journeys as you want within the zones 1 - 6 during the course of the day and saves buying many single or even return tickets that are valid for just one journey.
