How To Overcome OCD

Health And Fitness : Top Health Tips

If you have some sort of OCD, or obsessive compulsive disorder, then it can be really annoying as you waste lots of time and energy and even worry repeating a certain task a set number of times or always doing x before you can do y.

For many it is a minor annoyance such as switching a light on and off a few times and nothing more, for others it can impact on their life in a major way with some people having several impractical OCDs such as putting their shoes on and off a hundred times before going out or washing their face 57 times in the morning and all other sorts of strange habits that nevertheless have a powerful effect on the holder of that habit.

How can you beat OCD? Well my friend used the following method and it instantly worked to stop all her annoying obsessions!

And it was this - simply create a new 'rule' which is never to do anything that is habit-like and if you do, then that is what you should be afraid of or brings the bad luck. In other words your new OCD is not to do anything OCD like.

So if you were to go to repeat a habit then your new OCD which is to never do anything like that will kick in and stop you doing it. Kind of hard to describe in words but hopefully that makes sense - in other words you resolve to never do any of those annoying things again and make not doing so as much of a superstition as you had doing those things in the first place.
