| Self Development : Learn A Foreign Language One of the most rewarding and useful things we can do for our children is to teach them a foreign language, particularly in this day and age where several languages are coming up in their prevalence. Spanish for instance is really growing and it is predicted that perhaps soon in the US they may even need to start catering for both languages rather than just English; the President may even be expected to speak Spanish! The most important element of teaching a child a foreign language is to start them off young. If you have any friends that live in bilingual households for instance you will no doubt know they can slip in and out of the two languages effortlessly. Start them off early and give them a useful structure. Give them simple books or information to read in the foreign language too as seeing the words written down will help them to learn.
