Travel Health Tips

Travel : Travel Tips

Thinking in advance is the best policy here. Make sure you stock up on enough medicines for your family while you are away. Also check the latest limits on hand luggage at airports.

Make sure you wash your hands before eating, especially whilst travelling as planes and airports are common places to pick up bugs and viruses.

If you are worried about water quality at your destination then stick to bottled, and dont order ice with any drinks. Avoid street vendors as well, and uncooked foods which are rinsed out, such as salads.

Be careful when on the beach or at the swimming pool, and get your children to walk instead of run, to avoid injury.

Check you have the right travel insurance a few weeks before you leave. Always read the small print and make sure it covers any additional activities, such as sports, which you plan to do. The last thing you want to do is end up ill or injured and stuck abroad, having to pay for your medical fees if the insurer wont pay out.
