How To Treat Brittle Nails

Beauty : Hands And Feet

Some women seem more prone to brittle nails than others; however it is not uncommon for people to go through spells of having brittle nails then periods where they seem better again.

One common cause in health terms of brittle nails can be through a bit too little calcium in your diet. Therefore consider having more milk and calcium containing products in your diet to ensure that this is not the cause.

Another measure to take is to protect your hands from household chemicals and products that you are in touch with when doing chores. Therefore use gloves or protective agent at all times.

Remember to be good to your hands and moisturise regularly too - there is nail moisturiser specifically for nails.

If you use lotions and potions also make sure that they are gentle - for instance perfumed lotions can sometimes make nails worse; therefore ensure they are always non alcohol based, too.

With a little care and TLC your nails can be given their best possible chance to not be brittle!
