Understanding Different Types Of Exercise Program

There are several types of exercise program. Broadly they fall into three categories as follows:
1 - the long workout that is low intensity - e.g. one hour of walking
2 - the medium length workout which is more intense - a gentle jog for 40 minutes
3 - the short but intense workout - cycling at full speed for 20 minutes or running for 15
Each type of exercise program has different things going for it - different benefits and indeed drawbacks.
For a truly effective exercise campaign you should consider varying your program to include all three types of program. That way you get the benefits of each whilst mitigating the bad points due to the variety included.
Certainly worth a thought and varying program also makes a nice change to your routine.
