How To Improve Catchers Reactions

Sport : Baseball

In baseball it is essential that a catcher can react quickly to the situation and make the catch if necessary.

A good drill to practice this is as follows:

Have the catcher crouch as normal, while someone behind throws a pop fly.

The catcher practicing should then turn back to the field, locate ball, throw off the mask then catch two handed.

This is a great way to practice response to pop ups.
