How To Improve Your Happiness
Self Development : Happiness One of the biggest causes of misery is comparison and competition. Comparing yourself to others is a notorious downward cycle, as in the main these things can happen: - you start to doubt yourself and your skills - you put yourself under pressure to achieve what they have - other people usually seem better off than they are: happier, prettier, smilier, more successful - you try to impress others that you look up to which comes across as false and artificial If you can try and banish the comparisons and just lead your own life, then all those pressures and worries will naturally evaporate. It is easier said than done in the world in which we live where we are more aware of what everyone else is doing than ever before, but if you can block out everybody else then happiness will be easier to come by. They say that happiness is relative to others, and there is often truth in that. So, be happy in yourself and don't worry about everyone else. And remember: "The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong"
