Part 1f: Eye Contact At Interview And Body Language

Jobs : Successful Job Search Interview Process

Good eye contact is important - as is your general body language.

You should keep an open position with your body, rather than closing off, turning sideways, or slouching.

Some general hand movement is also good to re-inforce your points and show confidence, however be aware of constant twitches and touches, or over flambouyant movements of your hands.

Some people over-analyse body language.

There can be many reasons for touching your nose - for instance it could be itchy, but some who are really into body language think that all this means is that you are lying or something like that!

We recommend that you are conscious of displaying good, positive body language, but don't go overboard in analysing how you move or you will become self-conscious.

For your reference at the end of this chapter, some of the most common body language interpretations are listed!
