How To Rid Yourself Of Spots

Health And Fitness : Top Health Tips

Whether you are a teenager or just have bad skin for whatever reason, then you will know the frustation of spots. Everyone has problems with them at some stage, and for many, usually through their teens and early 20s, they are plagued with acne problems. It can get extremely depressing, desperately trying to get rid of them, hoping that they will go, when many around you have perfect skin.

They can lead to bullying, lack of confidence at a time when it is so important that you do have some self-esteem and confidence so that you are not exploited or taken advantage of by others. You try lots of lotions and potions and creams, spending a fortune on this treatment and the other, but nothing really seems to be that effective? Familiar story for a lot of people.

So what can you do to try and beat this affliction? Well one method that has been highlighted recently as having a good success rate is actually ice! Yes, rubbing ice cubes over your face for about 5 minutse before applying your other medication for the spots can really, really help to minimise the problems.

Combine the above with a cream that contains benzoyl peroxide, and the spots could be a thing of the past. Benzoyl peroxide seems to be the only effective chemical - acne washes and all those sort of products don't really seem to have any effects at all.

Start with a low concentration - say 1%, then if necessary move up to 5% benzoyl peroxide - treatment of this strength needs to be requested specifically from the pharmacist. If really required, then you should consider using strength 10% if you have no adverse effects, which again can be got from behind the counter. You will probably need a moisturiser or something like that to stop your skin getting too red and dry and peeling if you use this strength of cream.
