Running Drills: Pushing Your Weight Forward
Health And Fitness : Running Technique This drill is called ankle running and helps to ensure that your weight comes forward in to the front of your foot. What you should do is use your calves to help you lift up your heels alternately, and to then take a very small step forward up onto your toes. You should ensure that you don't use your nees at all in this drill to bring your foot up off the ground, but rather instead use your calves.
