How To Set A Payment Deadline

Business : Invoicing And Managing Finances

If you wish to be paid within a certain timescale, then you need to add this to your invoice.

It sounds like a simple fact, but I used to get frustrated when people didn't pay on time, and then realised I didn't actually state the payment terms on the invoice.

Therefore I now clearly state on the invoice "to be paid within 14 days" or sometimes "to be paid within 28 days", but never let it go on longer than this else they will forget; and if they have a whole months payment cycle they can't use the excuse that it's not the day of the month when they pay all their bills!
