This is an interesting tip, and is based around anxiety at sleep time and trying too hard to get to sleep.

If you are someone who takes an hour or more to get to sleep, you might get anxious and start clock watching. The more you watch the clock the more you want to get to sleep, the more anxious you are and the less you actually do sleep!

Therefore this tip is simple but effective - hide the clock! They make you too aware of the time and that you are not asleep - therefore switch it off or hide it. Don't worry about the time and you will be more relaxed, and more likely to fall asleep!
