You might have heard mention of Kriya, and its techniques to help keep one calm and get you through the day.
What is Kriya?
Basically it is a simple practice that you can do yourself, in private, and is akin to a form of meditation.
All you do is use breathing techniques such as elemental breathing - four short breaths followed by one long one - repeated a few times, when you feel negative. Concentrate on the breathing rather than the negative thoughts.
This sort of technique is known by some as Tatwa Breathing, where there are five elements that make up the body: earth, water, fire, air and space. Obviously you don't need to believe that to still find the technique useful!
