The Golden Rule When Chasing Money
| Business : Payments When you are chasing money, as frustrating and annoying as it can be, the golden rule is never to lose your cool. That won't achieve anything, as easy as it is to let rip. Rather be cool, calm and always professional. This gives the air that this may be something you have done before effectively and that you will do again - remember that it is better to be very matter of fact and organised about the matter and to issue the relevant paperwork than to start shouting threats for instance. Remember too that whilst there are horror stories out there the majority of businesses will pay up on receipt of statutory demands, so don't go in assuming the worst.
