How can I stop my scalp getting irritated when using GHDs?

The heat generated by GHDs is of course very high indeed. Therefore you need to exercise care when using not to catch your scalp.
The key is to be sure that you don't go too far down to the root as if it touches the scalp it will burn you and can be quite nasty. Also don't overuse or leave on the hair too long as again it can singe the hair.
