How can i wash my 100% wool rug myself or do i have to take it to the dry cleaners ?

Question asked by: knowitall

Yes these wool rugs - 100% wool rugs - can be washed at home however you may want to get it done professionally for peace of mind that nothing will go wrong even when you know the correct technique for washing!

Clean it first and remove any obvious stains with spot remover.

Clean it thoroughly with a vacuum.

Then clean outside manually by placing outside and covering with water and a mild cleaner, then wash and rinse thoroughly.
