How do I remove acrylic nail glue from a marble bathroom countertop?

Acrylic nail glue is nasty stuff and really strong as a glue, better than many household glues in fact.
However there are glue removers and glue remover products out there on the market and you need to use one of these in order to remove this nasty acrylic glue.
Always try to be careful with this glue and not spill it as it is quite tricky to remove!
