Is it a bad time to start a business?

There have been better times to start a business.

At the end of the 90s all you had to do was mention the word internet in your business plan and someone would offer you silly amounts of cash to start a business to fritter away.

These days it is very hard to get capital up front so if you need money invested in the company at the start then it is quite tricky.

However like at any time if you have a really good idea or can do something better than elsewhere and have the knowhow, contacts and drive to achieve what you want then it is as good a time as any.
