What is a factor number
Question asked by: keadon
Asked on: 15 Feb 2011

A factor is a whole number divisor of another.
For instance 12 / 4 = 3 which is an integer, and therefore 4 counts as a factor of 12.
Thus if you include the number and 1 as factors then the factors of 12 are 1,2,3,4,6,12 as they all divide into 12 with an integer answer.
