Can you please advise me how to stop birds and insects from eating my broccolli?

Question asked by: knowitall

To stop birds eating food or vegetables in general, the simplest and easiest way is to cover with some sort of netting.

The birds won't be able to get inside this netting that you place over the vegetables and therefore they will be protected.

As for the insects, you would need to use a safe insecticide sprayed on the vegetables to stop the insects or to kill them if they attempt to eat.

Note that you need to ensure that you follow the guidelines and ensure that you use one that is recommended for fruit or vegetables that will then be used for human consumption.
