I think I have clematis wilt in one of my plants how can I cure this problem?

Question asked by: knowitall

Clematis wilt is caused by a fungal infection that gets into the plant.

Prevention is better than cure - prevent by ensuring that the stemp is planted about an inch below soil level.

If you already have clematis wilt then here is the best treatment:

Cut the clematis right back down to ground level. Then fill the soil surrounding the area with a fungicide that is copper based. This should then help to remove the clematis wilt and the plant will grow back healthily. Good luck!
