Current in wire covered with carpet

how can you find whether current is flowing in a wire covered with carpet
Question asked by: kirankhan

There are detector tools that can find where there are wires.

These are often used for instance with builders and DIY people who want to drill a hole in a wall for instance they can use this gadget to ensure that there are no wires hidden behind where they are drilling.

So the answer is to go to a DIY store and buy a detector that will be able to detect if there is a current flowing anywhere. If in doubt always get work done by a professional. When handling electricity in most countries a certified professional needs to carry out the work anyway.
