How can I create a new puzzle?

If you want to create a new type of puzzle, then the key is creativity - you just need to come up with something that no-one has ever thought of before!

It might help to think of a current puzzle then gradually change a rule or two until you get a new puzzle - or of course come up with something completely new... let us know how you get on!
