How do i get rid of an oil stain from suede?

Question asked by: knowitall

Removing oil stains from suede requires you to use some small substance to soak up the oil stain without affecting or hurting the suede material.

A common household substance that fits the bill here is talcum powder.

Therefore to remove oil stains from suede materials simply rub on some talcum powder and press gently into affected spot.

Leave for about an hour to give it best chance to soak up and remove stain, then gently lift off the powder.

If required, repeat until the talcum powder has removed all the oil stain from the suede sofa or other suede object.
