How do I promote myself on a social network?

If you want to promote yourself on a social network, then you need to get lots of friends and contacts. This is the key.
First of all get all your friends to follow your group that you set up for instance if you are promoting your musical ability, and try and persuade them to get their friends in turn to sign up.
This should give you a good base of say 100+ to start off from, then try to grow it from there. Post regular and interesting content that will engage the audience and you should find that numbers then grow organically over time.
