How do you solve equations in chemistry?

Question asked by: mrquestion

Asked on: 18 Dec 2009

You solve equations in chemisty by working out the answer. That doesn't help much does it?

But seriously, it depends on the sort of equation: for instance are you having to balance charge, the number of molecules and so on? Remember that the number of atoms in the reaction overall won't change they might just change form and move from one chemical to another so you need to keep track of how many atoms you have and also shuffle them around to balance the charges.
